ABOUT ME

An experienced manager specialising in retouching, creative production workflows, studio software, digital asset management and team management. Well balanced between operational, technical and creative disciplines.

I starting my career over 20 years ago (I'm not that old..am i?) in a repro house scanning transparencies, retouching CMYK imagery and making artwork files print ready.

​

From there I worked for various pre-press agencies in a permanent and freelancer capacity (freelancing as a limited company 'Colourhead') working on print catalogues and editorial magazines. Retouching and colour matching imagery, pre-flighting artwork and sending to press.

I then joined Next PLC as a photo studio retoucher and later on a Studio Production Manager where I lead teams through the extreme growth of high volume
photo studio production.

Later, I began focusing my attention to overseeing the development of studio management software and workflows from concept to delivery aiding the studios in moving away from paper and excel sheets. This streamlined the tracking of sample inventory, shoot/job creation, file naming, resource scheduling, outfit creation
and post production.
